MY LESSONS
The piano is always worthwhile
Lessons for children and teenagers
Nowadays, the priorities that each family has towards learning to play the piano are very diverse. There are families who want their children to learn without pressure, and there are others who accept a more intensive approach and are open to a more demanding curriculum.
Between these two extremes there is a whole range of possibilities and they are all equally valid. It is my firm opinion that any approach to the piano is always worthwhile and for this reason I always insist to the families that the goals must be established at the beginning and then controlled or modified during the evolution of the student.
The piano has the most varied repertoire of all the instruments, and that is why we can always find music that motivates the student and at the same time makes him evolve. All we have to do is talk about. The communication must be fluid between this triangle: family - student - teacher.
Let's talk about it!
Lessons for adults
Adult lessons are somewhat different. Many of the adults who are interested in piano lessons are people who had learned as children and by the time they reached adolescence they had dropped out because of their other studies or perhaps because they were fed up with it. Now as adults they miss it and want to take it up again. Another case would be adults who did not take lessons but they always wanted to know how to play the piano and now they have the time and the motivation to face this new and beautiful challenge.
Any reason is valid and I am committed to helping all those people who love music and the piano. Whether they want to study seriously to get to play preludes and fugues by J.S.Bach, or maybe they just feel inspired by movie soundtracks and pop culture songs.
Motivation is the key and that is why a flexible curriculum must be followed where the adult always feels supported and inspired.
